Love it! I am jealous of that hair! Mine is too thick to grow that long!!
Happy Summer!
Rob — I’m totally sharing this comment with Q. It makes a difference for him when he hears about men with long hair (or meets them, of course) or men who crave long hair! Thanks!
And happy summer to you, too!
My husband has beautiful long hair!
So adorable! What color polish has he got on? I bet he’s excited for his new sibling.
Thanks for the comment! He’s got a mix of colors — green, purple, and red. All in a pattern. 🙂
Just wanted to say, too, that I’m sporting my Vassar shirt today…my brother is a grad. Small world!
Cute ponytail! Ours is headed the opposite direction length-wise, having recently given herself a haircut (sigh).
Ah yes, the kid-styled cut. Good luck with that!
He is adorable! That hair of his is really starting to look nice. Does he let you braid it?
Love the ponytail!
I am a frequent reader of this blog–and when I saw this video posted on feministing immediately thought of you and Q. It is great to see kids talking about gender stereotypes and Merlin’s nonchalance about any teasing he gets for wearing pink is wonderful to hear. Also, I love his t-shirt. What do you think?
Looks great. What a pretty color it is!
Funny, I’m all about short hair for my two year old. I suspect that along with my resolves about pacifiers and sleep while I was still pregnant, my resolves about hair will whither and die as I get to know my baby boy.
Awww…that is adorable! Take LOTS of pics. Celebrate each little milestone of his hair since he is so proud of it. When we started growing out Chris’s hair it went from first time it touched his ears, first time it covered them, his first barrettes, and then that first ponytail! The ponytail was the most special for him 🙂
Depending on if he continues to love his long hair it will be first braids, first updo, and on and on and what fun it all is. Chris wants to grow his to his waist. I cant see it but I never thought it would be down his back either.
Have fun with it! It really is a lot of fun 🙂
Hi,
I think Q would look pretty with cute little studs in his ears, maybe gold hearts. When he goes back to school he can wear his hair down if he don’t want them to show. He is so lucky to have a mom like you.
Love,
Mary
Q’s hair is fantastic! I look forward to a day when I feel I am comfortable enough to grow my hair out and have it longer. I am definitely going to take pointers from your kid.
Rock on with the polish too! There’s so many wacky colors and combinations to try; I hope there’s fun in experimenting.
YES! a wonderfully important blog, this is!! I am so happy to have found it! and the ponytail is beautiful!
I so glad he has a womderful and suppoortive mother my son is 8 and so much a little girl his hair is just a little long and his ears are pierced and he wears hair acessories almost everyday. He love everthing girly and has always been very feminine i love seeing your sonds hair curled as i also do my sons hair on sponge rolers all the time for him as weel as let have his have it done at the salon i go to. He also share a love of polish on his toes and fingers and yes he has had his share of teasing but he is happy just being who he is.
