First ever blog giveaway!

Thanks to these folks, I now have a large stash of the posters that I wrote about in my previous post.

So, I thought I’d do my first ever blog giveaway!

If you’d like a copy of this poster, leave a comment and I’ll enter you in the drawing. I’ll mail out five copies to folks (I’ll use a random number generator/my wife to choose the numbers corresponding with the comments). Feel free in your comment to say why the poster speaks to you, to share other such resources/blogs, etc.

We used to have one of those posters in E’s room, but it ripped when we took it down to move in November. I’d love to have a replacement copy!

Ooo! Ooo! Me! I want one! *keeps fingers crossed*

I feel emotions very strongly. People like to blame it on “hormones” and the fact that I’m a woman. Being a woman is part of my identity, yes, but it’s not what defines me. And I’m sick of feeling unfeminine because I don’t fit the ad industry’s cookie cutter view of beauty.

I worry about the challenges my son will face. I know that I won’t be able to protect him from “everything,” but I hope to make things a little easier along the way.

I would love a copy! I am a teacher, and we’ve been talking as a school recently about addressing and curtailing gender stereotyping and peer enforcement of gender norms. It’s an insidious problem, and this poster would give my (10 year-old) students a lot to think about.

I used to have one of these hanging and after moving and decluttering it got lost.

I’d love another copy, but I don’t want 25 of them.

Random number generator (the lovely wife) chose:
2, 5, 3, 7, 6

That would be: M, bug z, Serene, christin, ru

BUT, ru and M= same household, so back up number is 8 (StephLove).
